A great day on our return to Harpenden Golf Club, beautiful sunshine with drinks on the patio. The course was in good condition, considering the recent lack of rain. As in previous visits the club looked after us very well, everybody very welcoming and the after golf dinner great quality.

Playing for the Joan Horrocks Bowl, the winner with an incredible 41 points off a 12 handicap was Simon Jackson, second our captain Nick Fitzpatrick with 37 points off 29 and third our new member Shaun Hannibal with 35 points off 24, edging out Rob Barr on the same score but higher handicap.

The nearest the pins were won by Vince Kirley at the 5^th , Simon Jackson at the 8^th , Gary Boyes at the 11^th and again at the 16^th and Nick Fitzpatrick at the 18^th . The Guest Prize was won by Rob Gear, a guest of Jay.  Dave & Jay kindly presented an additional ‘wooden spoon’ prize, the recipient of which can be seen on Captains Trophy page along with all the scores, revised handicaps etc.

The Match play competition continued with  wins for Nick Fitzpatrick, Kevin Baker, Phil Walsh & John Owens, with Richard Carver & Jon Lagden finishing all square with plans to replay. The draw for the quarter final can be seen on the Match Play page.

In the Captains Trophy John Owens still has the lead with 23 points, our captain is now in 2^nd place with 19 points and equal 3^rd on 17 points are Roy & Andy.
