Our last golf day of the Year and Turkey Trot was at The Heron Golf
& Country Club. Unfortunately, the rain started falling just before our first tee time, eased off before hitting the last
few groups with a Force 10 gale! Nevertheless, the course was in good condition considering the recent weather and the greens
quick and true.
The sponsor of the day was the ConClub and we were playing for the Tony Charter Trophy,
with some very good scores. The winner was Jay Alexander with 44 points off a 32 handicap, second was Andy Hemsley
and third Stuart Maddison both on 38 points but Andy on the lower 15 handicap to Stu’s 19. The nearest the pins
were won by John Owens at the 4th, Kevin Baker at the 8th, Nick Kindred at the 15th and Jay
Alexander at the 17th. We also had some additional prizes donated by Lion Wines with the Nearest
the Pin in 2 on the 9th won by Kevin Baker and the Longest Drive on the 14th won by Tony Cooper.

The
Captains Trophy started the day with 8 in contention, in the end Shaun Hannibal took the trophy with a final score of 50 points,
2nd was Andy Hemsley on 48 points and 3rd Stu Maddison on 47 points. See all the scores

The Match Play final was due to be played but our Captain Nick Fizpatrick was unable
to play so the winner was Phil Walsh.
The AGM will be held at the Con Club on Tuesday 13th January
2026.
